Cardiff half marathon.

I have now sent off my application form for the Cardiff half marathon, it's in October and will get me to increase the mileage. I've done done three in the past but now have to get my fitness up again and start a again so to speak.

Today I went out for a short 6.8k run, to get back into it after another stressful week. It's getting so hard to fit it in with the eldest off school and the girls school wanting a piece of you etc etc.. So I'm going to get regimental and put a time to it and do the looooooong runs on a weekend.

I have also managed to put on 2lbs as the wine was aflowing and I was picking a lot the last week.. So will weight myself next Monday and hopefully it'll drop off *fingers crossed*..

A very up and down week.

I've been a bit under the weather recently and bogged down with home "stuff". Managed a run last Tuesday (a 10k in the rain) and had time out for a few days as had a bit of a dicky tummy issue amongst other things gong on! I've indulged a bit and have stayed the same weight haven't put on or lost any..

Yesterday after a break I did a sunny 6.8K run, felt a bit tired but was nice to get back out there. Taking the time off was a killer, as running is like taking a happy pill and keeps you on the straight and narrow.

Hopefully next week I'll be back at it. Also need to fit in the tuition for my son and hospital appointments,fighting for a school for the eldest as he hasn't got one at this present time, the kids social life, and mounds of washing and ironing and housework etc.. So wish me luck!
