Another 3.5 lbs off this week..

Plus another run in this glorious weather.. I'm finding it less effort each run and really getting into it, also a lot of support from other runners who are road running which is lovely, one on a bike and one who said "well done" as she was on the same route but going in the opposite direction.

So Mon & Tues I've done the same route (7.9k)in an hour.. I want to aim for 10K next week which was a normal run when I was fit, and then the long 12 mile run on the Sunday (which is a few months off). Feeling really positive, plus the Zumba is so much fun and you really work up a sweat.

Went for a run in the Sun..

I've been so jealous seeing people going for a run in this lovely weather, I thought Sod it I may not be as fit as before but I'd rather run outside than a stuffy gym.

So I charged my Garmin watch (which only found the signal towards the end of the road which is over a mile long *tut*), then forgot my MP3.. I started the 1 min walk/run until I hit Newport Road (very steep in places), then a 2 minute run/1 min fast walk for the last 40 minutes. The only downside to forgetting my MP3 was I could hear my strangled breathing lol.

I felt hot, sweaty and red faced but a sense of achievement, on the way back to my 12 mile runs in the sun on a Sunday which I loved in the past.. cross your fingers for me :-)

2 1/2 pounds off.

I weighed myself yesterday and I've lost 2 1/2 pounds which I'm very happy with. I've kept up the gym work and the two Zumba classes. I've also signed up to a spin class this Friday which I'm a bit nervous about as I haven't done one for ages!

My knees have been a bit sore last week (sore knees) so I've bumped up the incline and done a fast walk on the treadmill (incline 7 and 30 mins at a speed of 6), then on the cross trainer on a number 9 on the X train programme. Plus plenty of walking last Saturday (3 hours worth). My knees are much better now, not even a twinge so I'll go back to the running. The weather is so lovely and I miss my runs in the sun..

Also my clothes are very loose now which is a bonus..

Onwards and upwards!!

Total loss this weigh in 6 1/4 lbs

Which makes 16 lbs in four weeks. I'm very pleased, I think it's due to the shock to the body of no junk, no wine and gymming it. Plus I also did a Fitness Yoga class last week and a Zumba class too on top of the gym sessions.

I'm going to try another Zumba class with my friend tomorrow with a different instructor and something tells me it'll be rock hard!! Still looking forward to it nevertheless.

Off to a Zumba class

In under 2 hours I'm off to a Zumba class, I'm really excited as it makes a change from the gym and it should be a laugh.

Doing really well on the running now, a 2 minute run on an 8 and 1 minute on 6 and an incline of 2 to keep my heart rate up for 30 minutes. Then on the crosstrainer for another 30 mins on the Hills on a number 8, (I increased it from 6)..

I'm going to try to fit a few classes in along with the gym/running.. This week will be hard as Toby is off for the week. I've got my mum to try to stay with him while I try to fit in a few sessions. So Monday and Tuesday are covered, need to do a Thursday and Friday maybe in the evening when Ian gets back.

Forgot to say last Tuesday I lost 2 1/4 pounds which is good but I did put in the graft and thought I'd lose more. This Tuesday I feel lucky, I know it'll be a good loss as I have been jumping on and off the scales (a habit where I will be hiding the scales as of Tuesday)..

So see you here for my weigh in this Tuesday x

A good session on the treadmill

Had a rest day on Sunday, feeling pretty tired so I chilled out..

Bank Holiday Monday, most of the leisure centres are closed apart from Llanishen. It's a bit out of the way but need to plod on and get back to running "properly". I thought I'd push myself today, I managed 1 hour 5 mins on the treadmill this time. An incline of 1 on a speed of 6 for a minute then a run on 0 incline and a speed of 8 for a minute, then two minutes, as I don't want to overdo it as I have in the past and injured myself.

It was pretty easy and I managed 7.4K and 642 calories, so tomorrow I'll either do the same or just do the 2 minutes run and a minute incline fast walk for just over an hour. I'm hoping to be up and running outside in the next month or so and go in for the Cardiff Half marathon as I've done three times in the past.

I do have to watch what I'm eating as I've been so busy I've been grabbing an apple for lunch twice this week, not good! Apart from that porridge, toast and marmite or egg and soldiers are a top brekkie. Lunch would be either a salad or 3 ryvitas with Philly light and cucumber and a huge mug of tea. Tea is usually steamed veg and fish or a cooked dinner.

So weigh in tomorrow, I have my fingers crossed as I think my scales may need new batteries *eeek*
